If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance.
Remember that insurance policies vary, and Dr. Jensen and team will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.
To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire.
For restorative dental procedures, many of our patients request our assistance in the filing of insurance claims, and we are pleased to provide this service. However, we do request full payment on the day the services are provided. We accept cash, check, and all credit cards at Jensen Orthodontic Arts.
Your insurance company will be instructed to send a reimbursement check directly to you, the insured. Dr. Doug Jensen and our team have chosen not to be on any preferred provider insurance lists because we are unable to provide the quality of care you deserve using their fee schedules.
We do not accept assignment of benefits, meaning we do not accept partial payment for treatment along with an insurance reimbursement check sent to our office. The contract is between you and your insurance company, not between the dentist and the insurance company.
For this reason, the insurance company is more responsive to you, the patient, than to us. Insurance payments directly to you are made much more promptly (generally 2–3 weeks). If you make a payment by credit card, you will usually receive the insurance check before the credit card billing cycle.
Please call our McKinney. Texas, office today if you would like to learn more about how insurance can defray the cost for your prosthodontic and orthodontic treatment.
